Microfiber cloths serve a simple function, they are primarily designed for drying and cleaning up spills. However, it’s important to note that microfiber cloths just like any other product might not be equal in quality. So before considering a purchase, it’s advisable to take into consideration a couple of factors so that you can choose the best microfiber cloths:
Size of microfiber cloths
Typically the size of a product is a matter of personal preference and it should be like that, however with this type of cloths it should first of all align with the specific use that you are going to need it for. A smaller size is much more suitable in cases when you want to access tight spaces and corners. If you require a cloth for quickly drying a car, choosing a larger or extra-large cloth is a wiser choice. At the same time you have to be careful not to get into a much large size, because it could be challenging to operate with a big cloth.
Edges of microfiber cloths
A minor detail at first glance but neglecting the edges of a microfiber cloth can lead to regrettable consequences, such as damaging paint or any other delicate surface of furniture or appliances. Even if the main body of the cloth is constructed from soft microfiber, the edges might not share the same gentle qualities. If the cloth has edges, we suggest opting for silk-banded, silk-made, or microfiber-stitched edges. These choices are preferable because their soft materials are less likely to leave scratches behind.
Absorbency and durability
Absorbency is quite important for that type of product, because you do not want to be left wiping a spot several times and still see that there is some water left. And durability can be tested after washing the cloth. If it appears as good as new after taking it out of the washing machine, without having any loose lint particles left either, that would be the best sign.
